Queen Latifah launched her debut album, All Hail the Queen, in November 1989, and at this time, World Cafe correspondent John Morrison talks about how that album shook issues up.
“Rap music traditionally has, after all, been a male-dominated house — not simply demographically however, like, in perspective. Queen Latifah, with this report, actually got here onto the scene and challenged that.”
