“Our Voices Mix Actually Effectively Collectively” ADAM GONTIER on His Returning Position as Co-Frontman of THREE DAYS GRACE Alongside MATT WALST

After 11 years away from Three Days Grace, frontman Adam Gontier noticed himself re-entering the function as frontman of the Canadian rock band in 2024. In Nik Nocturnal’s new interview with Gontier, the co-frontman opens up about working with the band once more.

The nostalgia manufacturing unit is pumping out bands just like the hire is due – as witnessed with The Tony Tapdance Extravaganza – and even Gontier acknowledges the function the newly commodified emotion performs within the lately accomplished lineup: “[there’s] extra pleasure than something, and undoubtedly some nostalgia.”

However, Gontier is not alone because the frontman of Three Days Grace this time round. He is rejoined the band alongside their “new” vocalist, Matt Walst. Walst, the little brother of Brad Walst, the bassist, joined the band again in 2013. Having grown up with the band, “it was a pure match to get him to take [Gontier’s] spot there.”

Now? “Let’s do it collectively,” Gontier remarks, “Our voices actually mix effectively.”
